GLT projects consist of two types: (1) GLT acquires a conservation easement on its own account, either by donation or purchase, and bears responsibility for monitoring it in perpetuity, or (2) GLT contributes to the purchase of a property or easement by another organization-in all cases thus far, the Vermont Land Trust. In the second case, the acquiring body (VLT) holds the easement and monitors it.

    The table below summarizes the easements which GLT held or to whose purchase cost it had contributed as of mid-2006, GLT held 14 easements on its own account.
